Information about Races

Arachnids are huge Spiderlike creatures, eight legged, and able to create a web around their victems. Arachnids are often looked against as evil creatures, because of their looks and actions. But Spiderman is an Arachnid too, sort of. Of course that's a different subject, since Arachnids are generally evil creatures. In shilla, Arachnids are the first race that can be selected, and perhaps that saves them from extinction, because there aren't many people to be found who are Arachnids, aside test characters that don't last a day. I can understand that, kind of, because I don't see myself as a Spider in my roleplay role, if you know what I mean. I guess that comes paired with people who are afraid for spiders. Arachnids are an overall decent race.

Stat based, the Arachnids have pretty cheap Dexterity, very expensive Constitution, and a bit cheap mana stats. As for bonuses, Arachnids can see in the dark, and can also hold a load of items, twice as much as a normal human being could. They also miss little, as they have a 30% Accuracy bonus. Their grope however, is being reduced by 3%.

I couldn't find a whole bunch of info about Avians, but it was quite clear to make up out of the pictures that they are a bird-like creature. Avians are powerful winged sentries. These beings have served as messengers, guards, and airborne spies for centuries. They are very sociable and carry themselves with a nobility that leaves others in awe of their majestic presence. To this day they serve as messengers and guards to the nobility of the land. In Shilla, there are not many Avians, probably because many people don't know what kind of race they are at all, or because they see a "cooler" race and pick that one. Not really fair, because Avians aren't the worst race out there. An other version of Avians is that they are Angel-Like creatures, with huge wings, but still with the shape of human bodies.
Centaurs are a race many of us already know. They have the lower body of a horse, and the upper body of a human. They are often in war with other races, especially humans, due to unknown conflicts. Still, it's unsure if the Centaurs are a truly evil race. In myths there were Centaurs who were reasonably nice, and sure, there are always some bad apples but that doesn't mean a whole race is evil. In shilla, you can pretty much see them as an "evil" race though. As of yet, the centaurs have no own village yet, and there aren't many players who've picked this race so far.
Draconians are often confused with Dragons or Reptilemen. I personally couldn't find a whole lot about them, but Draconians are generally evil. They are strong and powerful beasts that look like a mixture of a Dragon and a Reptileman, with about 2 times the size of an average human. Draconians are made from Eggs of corrupted Dragons. In Shilla, the Draconians have their own Lair, deep inside the volcano, where it's hot just how they like it. Draconian Forge, Spells, and Drunken Draconians are few of the many charactistics of that place, aside from the heat.
Dwarfs, who doesn't know them. Small little people who adore mining, and living in caves. They are strong, quick, but incredibly lousy with magic. Also they have decent haggle skills. Dwarfs are generally a good race, and they don't have any wars with other races, other than they dislike some other races, such as Kobolds. In Shilla, the Dwarfs have a Stronghold, built in the Great Mountain to the Northeast of the Land. The mines here are nearly exhausted, but sometimes it is possible to find some treasure of value here. Furthermore, there is a Dwarven Tavern just like you would expect it. Bar Fights are fought there on occasion.
Elves are really beautiful. They are tall and thin what makes them more agile than humans are, but also weaker. They have a natural sense for music and magic which makes them wonderful bards and magicians, but due to their weak condition and strength they are not the best fighters you will meet. They live deep in the forests in an own illustrious city called Yggdrasil which is totally made out of trees. Elves love nature and will always try to protect it against any destruction by any creatures. A forest in which at least one elf lives looks really different from any other forest you know. In Shilla, the elves have always been a quite popular race, as in most other RPG's, the Elves' appearance is often attractive for roleplaying. The Elves are, just like Dwarfs and Humans, one of the few classic races in shilla. Elves are generally nice, but there are Dark Tribes of Elves. These however, are not found troughout the land of shilla.
A Gnome once said: "I am a Gnome, perhaps one of the smallest of all that the gods ever created, but definitely the fastest, lightest, and the most nimble. Invention is my genius, but it is not my only skill. Let the others bash their heads against the world trying to make it do what it wants -- we know the truth. Gnomes manipulate rather than force, persuade instead of pummel. If you want to undo a knot by hacking it to death, get a 'Tog. If you want it unraveled, get a Gnome."
Tiny in comparison to a Human, it is a shade shorter than the Halfling with an exuberance similar to that race, except that in the place of overbearing bubbliness is a razor-keen wit. The Gnome's ears are slightly pointed, and its fingers are constantly twitching, as if it were eager to be doing something. In Shilla, there are very few Gnomes.
Wether or not Halflings are half elf, half human is debatable, because Hobbits are (supposedly) the same as halflings. Often looking wierd for humans and elves, they are quite different from them. Little is known about this shy, reclusive folk. Physically, they average around three feet high, about half the height of a human (hence the name) and are therefore quite weak. They are surprisingly tough and incredibly agile -- halfling quickness is deceptive, and some adventurers get more than they bargain for when they tangle with a Halfling. They are fond of good company and good drink, and are very soft-hearted overall. But when a Halfling is cornered, or his home (or food and drink!) is threatened, they will fight with a ferocity that would startle any but the most seasoned of adventurers. Halflings do not take too well to magic, and seldom is a Halfling seen who can demonstrate magical powers of any sort. Show a Halfling a good beer, a comfortable seat, and pleasant company, and you will have a friend for life! They make incredible Thieves, due to their innate agility and stealth. In Shilla, the Halflings have their own Shire, hidden well in the Great Plains. Here is a great wealth of good halfling food, an Amulet Sender, and even a mysterious shop that sells Invisibility Rings..
Humans are just humans, and don't quite need an introduction. The humans have the largest and most important Town in Shilla, basically just called 'Shilla Town'. This is where most of the story revolves around, and humans such as the king, the mayor, the princess, and even druids and guards are found all over shilla. Humans can be either good or evil, and some have been corrupted by the evil powers of the Evil Warlock, and need to be freed. In shilla, there are plenty of humans to be found. Often good trainers, they are brave warriors who fight alongside other races in their effort to stop the Evil Warlock.
Kobolds are an evil race. Hated by Dwarfs and Elfs, and also Humans, they are generally plain evil. The Evil Warlock sides up with these little, pesky, absolutely not trustworthy creatures. Rumor has it that the Kobolds are traversing the Desert in an attempt to make a suprise attack on the good races, sooner or later. Kobolds can be either very weak or very powerful. They are very small, thus very agile, and generally outrun most races by their speed. They can handle most melee weapons well.
Lizardman don't need much of an introduction since the name is pretty much a giveaway. They are half man half lizard. In shilla, they are a minority among the other races. Lizardmen are reptile creatures, and used to be called reptileman, but after some time they were renamed, and now it's lizardman. They are powerful, but not very speedy.
Ogre's are huge, powerful, slow, dumb creatures, often found in caves. They wield clubs as weapons which they bash their enemies with into the ground with their awesome strength. They are not fast, not at all, but Ogres are known for once they have found their enemy, they don't need to be fast, since their strenght will demolish their opponent. As for Magic..huh? What's Magic? In shilla, the Ogres have their 'own' Cave, and have had this for a very long period of time. So as far as history goes in shilla, this race has had it's own 'place' the longest, aside from humans.
Orcs are a warrior race. You probably know them from the strugling masses as whole legions of them prepare to charge for war and mass slaughtering. They are generally evil, but a look at their face would probably give that impression. Orcs have their own Orc Outpost in shilla, which is built in the middle of the Ocean, on some island. Here are thieves, so beware of pickpockets. Bar fights are no exception in this stinking place, and the Orcs are always out to get more money for themselves, so it's possible they will cheat on you during a gambling dice game..
Pixies are small, flying and peaceful creatures. They like to glitter everything with, well, glittering things, and they are very loved by most other races. I'm not sure what the difference is between a Pixie and a Fairy, but Pixies replace the old Fairy race that shilla used to have. The pixies have left their marks all over shilla, and their dusts are the key holders to the many, many possible forges that the forgers can forge for you. Pixies are very caring and loving for others, and are fast, and magic capable.
Satyrs are little persons with the back of a goat, and the upper part of a human, but have horns also. Great speed is theirs, and their strength is, despite their size, not to be underestimated. Their Magic Skills are nothing to write home about, but Satyrs are generally pretty fast.. if it comes to running away from fear. Satyrs are often in a good mood, and like to drink booze.
I don't have to give Wolfs an introduction. A good thing was that I at least found a picture much easier than at some of the other races. =P Wolfs are fast and strong, but I guess they aren't really made for magic, as they are mere wolfs. Wolfs are good friends with Elves and Dwarfs, and also with humans.
Wraiths are ugly looking spirits. There. That was easier than I thought. Nearly always an evil race, wraiths are friends with kobolds, but enemies with dwarfs and elves. In shilla they have their own Necropolis in shilla, the place of the dead. There is plenty to do in Necropolis, but unfortunately for the living, these undead do not like visitors all that much, and their ruthless Wraith Guards will kill you on sight. After you've been killed, you're more then welcome, of course, since you have been dead just a moment ago. But beware, for the longer you have been living again, the undead will become suspicious, and might attempt to kill you once again. It wouldn't be the first time, would that happen.
