Part 1: Explanations
Part 2: Shilla Legends
The Outskirts
Go to the outskirts, checking the map again. Here is a Map of the Outskirts It's at the northern side of Town. If you made some money on the beach, and I'm sure you did, along with the Half Slimes, it's a good time to see if you can buy a GSS, a Gleaming Short Sword. This weapon is a very good starter weapon, much better than the Knife the Wise Sage gave you. It'll cost you 307 gold (in the Traders, so ask for it in chat to be sent to you!) with a Charisma of 40. Not that bad, and you should have that money for sure. Get it out, and equip it. Bank the rest of your money as usual.
Mages should have their Obsidian Wand by now, bought from the Trader Jack. It should cost about the same as the GSS, but since you should have 50 Chr, it might be less. Train on the Outskirt creatures, just like the fighters. It'll be fun to see new monsters, and to tell you the truth, these creatures were one of the first, if not the first shilla creatures, ever, so I kinda like them. Gypsies are good monsters to train on as they give you Whey Bread and Goats Milk, that heal you. Convicts are the strongest of the four, and they can actually kill you if you don't watch out while fighting. If you can't kill them in one shot, which means you can't "1-round" them, you should leave them alone. You can't 1-round a creature if it hits you back during the fight. If you 1-round it, you click it, and it dies without ever having a chance of hitting you. That is why 1-rounding creatures is the most safest way of training on creatures in shilla. There are other ways of training too, but remember, 1-rounding is often the most efficient way. Remember this info, you'll need it later on as well. Experience is gained faster in the Outskirts, and you should be able to boost some more of your stats in no time. You can explore the Outskirts if you want, but you'll have to walk all the way back to Town too, so keep that in mind. If you want to train, do so near Town. Not too near, because you might end up getting killed by a Town Guard that you saw for one of the Outskirts critters. Trust me, it's happened to many others before. Head a bit more north for training. When you've gotten a bunch of exp and gold, it's time for you to train your stats, and bank your gold. Do so, and train str 10 points higher. It should be 50 now. Now go to the Amulet shop and buy two glowing rings, and equip them. Your Strength is now 60. Some races need 66 Str, others 54 Str, in order to lift the Sewers manhole.. Yeah, the sewers.
Mages should train their stats up too, but mainly their mana stats. Buying the two Glowing Rings is in this case inevitable if you want to enter the Sewers. Raise your Str to the restriction of the manhole for you. Furthermore, raise your Wis a little, to 50. Your Chr is your main goal, which will lower the prices of items alot. Of course, your Intelligence is what affects your attacks, so at 70 Int you'll get another attack. However, that's a little bit much for now.

The Sewers
Now you can lift the heavy manhole to the east of the town, to access the sewers. After you've banked your gold, and cashed in your experience into the desired stats, enter the sewers. The sewers has a very easy-to-remember Map, which is basically a 5x5 square. In the sewers are only two creatures: Rats and Warriors. The Rats are the easiest to kill, and if you can't 1-round the Warriors, try to leave them alone. The Warriors drop a weapon called Warrior Knife which isn't better than the GSS you're holding. It only sells for 1 gold at this stage, so don't bother with picking them up. However, if you die for some strange reason (dying is always strange somehow, isn't it?), remember you've lost your weapon, and that you can get a free warrior knife from here. If you're not strong enough to 1-round the Rats either, it's better to go back to the Outskirts for a bit more, and focus on getting more attacks. You should boost your Dex to 70 also.
Mages should probably focus on 70 Int, and pump up their Chr as well. Not only is that good for attack power, but it's also good for low prices. Sewer Monsters are the first good source of exp and gold. You could save up for a set of Chain Armor, although I don't think that's a great idea for now. Better plan is to save your gold for later, and gain exp. When you can 1-round the sewers, you'll probably be here for a little while. But don't worry, it'll all be better, cooler when you move on. What to do with your experience? Read on..

Spells
Huh? Spells? Where do I get those? To be honest with you, I haven't talked about spells yet because you didn't need them yet. Now is a good time to invest a little in spells, wether you're a mage or not. You won't need all spells, not at all actually. Your priority lies at Town portal & Teleport. Town Portal will transport you to the fountain, the middle of Shilla Town, when you use it. I recommend training it to 15. Teleport brings you to other places in Shilla, depending on high your Wisdom is. Teleport is recommended at Level 35 for now, although it's perfected at higher levels such as 50. They're the must-have spells soon, so get them. Don't spend your exp on the other spells at all. You'll need to have low spells a bit later in the game, and you'll be glad you stayed away from the other spells. With your other exp, you should focus on one stat only: Charisma. That's right, boost only that for a while, even above 100 is fine. This will cause the Throwing Daggers to drop in price, and you are going to need it. Ask someone if they can send you Throwing Daggers, as this will result in a great drop of the price. It's very important to get this weapon. An other important stat you should boost is Intelligence at this moment. Boost it to either 54, 60 or 66 and you can enter a new area. The Vast Valley. Here you will acquire a new piece of armor. It will prove useful.. Mages already have good Int and Chr by now, and they won't need much more Chr. Boost your Int to 80, which is for a really good reason. With 80 Int you can enter the Druid Valley, but also the Cemetary. If you manage to kill an Old Witch there, you can get a Sword of Wailing from them, the next mana weapon. It's not as good as the fighter's TD, but it's better than your Wand. You might want to wait with getting this Sword, until you're a little bit stronger, and have a bit more life. Get a bit more life stats in this case.

Vast Valley
You can find the Vast Valley at the end of the Outskirts, to the east of the crossroads. Use the map to navigate trough the outskirts. Here is a Map. for the Vast Valley. The Vast Valley is the home of Drunken Monks and Old Wizards. The latter is the one who you want to beat one of. It must be said that these two creatures are stronger than the ones you've fought so far, and you should handle them with caution. Your Life should be around 150 at the very least, for safety. You should prepare well for these creatures, and take a load of food with you that you've gotten from killing Gypsies. When you think you have enough food, take them on. They have 800 & 1000 Life, pretty much, but you should be able to handle him. If he doesn't drop what he should drop, try another, and another until one drops. Pick up the Shimmering Cloak and equip it. The Shimmering Cloak is the best armor you can get for quite some time, so stick with it. It's just as good as a Silver Chain Mail. If you can't 1-round them yet, then you should go back to the Sewers and boost an attack, and perhaps your Str & Con more. When you finally 1-rd them, it's time to stick here for a while. The exp is good enough for now, and the gold is better than you used to get, at least. Optionally you can get Chain Mail armor now, but I reccommend against that, since you will not have much use for it, and it'll just weigh you down. Now start training. You're all set for this area. Only shall you find that you are in need of food sometimes. Get food from Gypsies. This is annoying, but it's the better way of getting food. For a more effective way of training, you can use Town Portal to sleep at the fountain, and then use Teleport to go back to the Vast Valley. This requires Teleport at level 35, and Wisdom around level 60. This is a much faster training method. Now get some serious exp. It's about time you shake off your title as Newbie.
Mages should get the Shimmering Cloak as well, which is a very nice armor. With the Sword of Wailing, you should also try to 1-round the Vast Valley. If you can't, try to boost attacks with exp from the sewers. With your high Wis, you should have no problem with teleporting to the Fountain, and back to the Valley. If you're a Pixie, you can do something that no one ele can do at this stage: You can enter Necropolis, city of the dead, and search for the spell trainer, and train Energy Drain here a few points. That spell can be of use. But don't worry if you're not a Pixie, you'll have other benefits.

Druid Valley(and Cemetary)
Getting to Druid Valley takes a little while. At the Vast Valley, you've trained a long while, so you should have a good amount of exp by now. Dexterity is going to play an important role from now on, bigger than before. Here is a map of the Druid Valley. You're going to add dex, dex and then some more. You need attacks for the Druid Valley. Str&Con should be boosted at about 80-90, and 80 Intelligence is needed to enter the Druid Valley, and the Cemetary. The cemetary has creatures with less life than the ones in the Druid Valley, but they hit harder, and have better defenses. Here is a map of the Cemetary if you need it. Therefore it's best to train in a different way this time. The Druids are too strong of an opponent now, but those Kreens.. Yes. The kreens give even better experience than Druids, hit for few Life, and don't have too much Life. You're going to work on 1rding them. You'll need a lot of dex for it, so focus your attention on it. Charisma seems less important, but don't stop boosting it. Your new goal is 1-rounding the Kreens. The gold you're making in Vast Valley isn't too bad. Dont't bother with Druids, as they just don't reward well. You may check out the cemetary too, but keep in mind that it's slower experience than on Kreens. Now it's just training time again. Train on Kreens, and pick up those Dehydrated Druids. That makes training easier around here, as they heal for 81. Boost Dex so you might 1rd those annoying Druids sooner or later. You're getting closer to saving the King, by the way. That's right. Free the King from the Castle, and you'll have done the next quest, and new doors will open for you. Well, the rewards are pretty decent. If you complete that quest, you get 200000 Exp, and 10 Quest Points. You can ALSO pick up a full Silver Armor Set, a Blue Amulet, a Guard Sword, and better food called Cooked Meat. Even better, this quest goes kind of paired with a sub-quest, getting a Blue Amulet for the Jewelry Shop Owner, which has an even better reward. You only receive that quest when you are higher than 700 WS though. So get training, and get your Life up higher than 300. Boost your Intelligence to 100 if you haven't done that already. When your Life is higher than 300, it's time for your first big event.
Mages already have high Int, but you'll need more Int. Lots of it. Try to train it as high as possible. This gives you many advantages. You can go to the Castle early, although you'll want decent Life stats before attempting to rescue the King, and you can get to other areas earlier. Bump up your Charisma too, which improves your fighting skills, and lowers prices too. Keep in mind that the Ring of Bone increases your Int with 25. It's very pricy now, but later on, when you have more money, it's a good investment. For now, get your life up, and buy yourself a set of Chain Armor. It shouldn't cost you alot, and since you have lower life stats than warriors, a bit armor wouldn't hurt. You don't need the mail, you have the cloak already. Prepare yourself for the castle by saving up alot of dehydrated druids.

The Castle
So you have 300 Life or more? More Life is better, to be safe. You got Chain and Shimmering equipped? Got 100 Intelligence? Good. You need a crapload of Dehydrated Druids as you'll want to heal constantly. All set? Go! Use the maps to find your way to the Castle. Here's a map of the Castle. The Castle isn't really a castle..it's more like a hollow wall with stairs to the next floor. Oh well. Let's climb this wall. On the first floor are Rookie Guards, who you should be able to handle easily. Just remember to heal to full when you get hit. They drop Silver Gauntlets and Silver Necklace. Pick them up, and equip them. That's some more defense for sure. Pick up any Cooked Meats you notice lying around, as they'll sort of replace your Dehydrated Druids. Move to the second floor and fight your way trough Castle Guards. They drop Silver Boots, Helm and Shield, and the usual Cooked Meat. Yummy. Equip the pieces of armor. That's some more defense. Move further to the 3rd floor and encounter Elite Guards. They are a bit tougher, but manage to beat one and they may drop a Guard Sword, Blue Amulet, and the remaining Silver Pieces. Equip it all. Your Shimmering Cloak is just as good as the Silver Mail, so don't ponder what you'll wear. The Guard Sword is better than the Throwing Dagger, so equip it too, and pick up at least two Blue Amulets. One for you, one for the next sub-quest. It adds 5 str so equip it. Move your way to the fourth and Final Floor. This floor is home of the Drakmor Dragons, ichy beasts that spit fire. Watch your Life, and heal constantly. When you reach the end, free King Drakmor. Congratulations! You've just completed your first quest, and gained 200k Exp. Town Portal to the fountain and spend it on the stats you need, like Chr and Dex. Have you reached 700 Wall Score yet? If you don't have 700 WS yet, train more in the Druid Valley. When you do, head to the Jewelry Shop, accept the quest, and fetch your bounty by giving a spare Blue Amulet to him. His reward is awesome: 10k gold and 2 Million Experience! Oh yes, that's right. What a boost. You deserved it after all your work. You're doing absolutely great. It's smart to BANK this gold right away, so you won't lose it. As for the 2 mil exp, I'm sure you can use it on Dexterity and Charisma. Perhaps boost some of your other stats as well, like Int.
Mages can use the same strategy as fighters can, but you won't have to equip the Guard Sword. Equip all the Silver, but keep the Cloak too. Equip the Blue Ammy too, it never hurts to have 5 more life points. The reward doesn't lie to you, it's really grand. With the exp, boost your life some, so you can prepare yourself to soon kill a few better creatures. Also, don't forget your Charisma, which will play a very important role in buying weapons later.
Now you may move to the Advanced Guide
