Part 1: Explanations
Part 2: Shilla Legends

The continue of your path, Guilds, oh and Lake Gala too
After having freed the King, join up with a guild! There are three guilds, the Fighter Guild, the Mana User Guild, and the Thief Guild. More specific info about the Mana Guild is at that section below. As for the Thief Guild, it's possible to choose it, but I wouldn't right now, because there aren't many weapons of your level now. Join the Fighter Guild, which is south of Trader Jack, and you'll also get fighting bonuses, along with weapon bonuses after a while. That's something noticable. When you join the Fighter Guild, you'll get a quest, but it's not what this guide focuses on. The Guilds have their own Guilds Page, which handles all the guild quests, and also had info about guild specialities. Check it out whenever you need info. This guide focuses on battling and moving on with the game. Now it's kind of hard to say what you should do next. Some people fight at the Druid Valley for ages, then move on to the Castle. I prefer a better strategy for this. You got plenty of gold, since you just got that 10k from the quest. Ask someone if they can send an Ogre Club to you, and get it out. Of course it's pricy BUT it's very powerful. (Let's hope you get the cheap Ogre Club of the two, shall we?) You might've noticed that it's fatique useage is pathetic much, but this is just a weapon that will lead you to the stronger equipment. And that's what you want, isn't it? If you don't have enough gold, boost your Charisma to around 150 and buy it out with spare money made on training in the Druid Valley, or perhaps Rookie Guards. Admittance to new areas isn't exactly free though. You're going to have to focus on Intelligence a lot from this moment onward. You did the Castle Quest. Now it's time for you to enter your guild. The Mana User Guild. It's West (x3) and South, from the fountain. Join up, and you'll get your first quest right away. Just don't get that 100 spell points yet. Why not, you ask? Because you'll get into trouble with the Dwarfs in the Stronghold. They don't like spell users, so keep it on the low with spells for now. Mana Users will have to ask around for an Emerald Orb. That's a darn good Mana Weapon, and it'll boost your attack power by ALOT. Be sure to boost your Charisma ALOT, before you buy this weapon, because at like 200+ Chr, it can still cost 30k. Also don't forget to buy Ring of Bones, and an Apprentice Amulet, but ONLY if you have ALOT of spare money, which I suppose you don't have right now. Not yet, anyways. You should already be able to enter the mountain. With the Orb you can try 1-rounding some Rookie and Castle guards in the castle. If that works, train there. There's not much to do in the Lake. You need 130 Intelligence to enter Lake Gala, but there isn't much to do there. Here's a map of Lake Gala. If you have 160 Wisdom, you can get a new quest in the Lake, though. And if you don't have 160 Wisdom, you better get it now, because the quest is easy, and very rewarding. A boy will ask you to retrieve his Shovel from the Demon Crab. This Demon Crab can be found easily on the beach, and it has 15k Life and hits pretty low (~200 or so). It's pretty easy to take on. Bring the Shovel back at the Lake Gala Teleport spot. This spot is in the Outskirts, where you can access the Lake. You'll be rewarded handsomely, with 10 QP, 10 Charisma, and a whopping of 250k gold! Bank this gold right away! You won't want to buy a weapon now, but this gold will help you with saving gold for an other weapon, later. With the Ogre Club, you should just continue to bash on Castle creatures, and save some spare gold to the bank incase you die later on. Also get the exp here. If you can 1-round the lake, it's great, but if you can't however (that's very understandable with an Ogre Club) then you will have to boost even more Intelligence, so you can enter the mountain. And not only your intelligence, but also your Dex, Str & Con. You're going to have to train pretty long at the Castle, and boost your Life to 500 something. That's a good new base for you. Preferably just boost as much Dex as you can. Then bring up your Int to 160, by training, or by buying a Ring of Bone, that boosts your Int by 25. Now you can enter a new area. A new complex, even.. The Mountain. Mages won't have any problem with entering the Mountain, but your life might be too low. Up your life to 500 if you can, and I know it's a lot, but you'll be able to kill the Hydra, among other stuff. Still, your primary goal is to get the Emerald Orb. When you have it, don't die with it!

The Mountain
The Mountain is a big, and somewhat complex area. Here is a map of it, and that's including Ogre Cave. The Dwarven Village is something you shouldn't worry about YET. Later on you'll enter. So when you see the sign that says it's on the east, DON'T go east. You might die. Instead, go up the mountain, towards the top. The Top is the home of the once feared Hydra. It only appears on the middle spots of the most upper part of the mountain. The Hydra is still a tough opponent, but since you have an Ogre Club, and well around 500 life, you should be able to kill him without too much trouble. If you have 400 Life it's cool too, and 350 Life is even possible, but less recommended. Better safe than sorry. When you defeat the Hydra, it drops an ALMOST FULL set of Green Scale Armor. This is better than anything you've worn so far, so undress and slip in. The only thing you're missing now is the EFS, Emerald Fire Shield, dropped by the Dead Knight in the cemetary. The Dead Knight is harder than the Hydra, but you don't really need the EFS yet. At 500+ Life you may go attempt to beat him, under that Life it's a little bit risky. Once you have the Green Armor, it's just a matter of time before you get a lot stronger. You need to boost Int to 190 to be able to enter the Dark Forest..and finally get strong. You can buy one or two Ring of Bones, which will give you 25 Int each. Just get that Int ASAP. Train where ever you want to as long as you 1rd the creatures it's fine. Castle might still be the best option. When you have 190 Int, make sure you have a real decent amount of Life, that's around 550 or more. With that Life, move on to the next step...The Dark Forest. Mages, oh mages. It's getting harder from here, because you might die on the stronger creatures you're going to face. Being a mage is about getting items soon, explore areas faster, and 1-round things quickly, but right now you need life, and it's one of the weaknesses of a mage. They have mana, not life. Anyway, my point is, be careful around the Hydra, kill it to get the Green Armor set, and equip it. Keep on training where you were, which was probably the Castle.

May the Forge be with you
The main goal now is to Forge a JEW, a Jeweled Emerald Wand. You need to have 5 items to do so, and three are easily gotten for you, but the other two are harder. I'm talking about the Green Emerald and the Green Pixie Dust. They are dropped by Trolls and Elfs. They don't always drop when you kill them, so you might have to kill multiple of them for a drop. You should have a good amount of Life and food with you before you try to take them on. I'd say 550 Life. And when you DO get them to drop it's party time. You can now forge a JEW. You need: Gold Crown(Use the one you have or beat another Hydra), Green Dust, Green Emerald, Flaming Staff(beat an Old Wizard) and Bear Steak(buy from any food shop). Then go to the forge and make that JEW! Now that you have the JEW, you can inflict WAY more damage than you first could. This is sort of a new level. Now you can make yourself even stronger, since you can kill most creatures for your level. It's time to make an Eagle Talisman first. You need a Wooden Shield(buy from armor shop), a Green Emerald, Staff(buy from weapon shop), Green Dust and a Pegasuse Wing(beat a Pegasuse Scout on the Mountain Top). Eagle Talisman (ET for short) adds 50 Strength and 100 Dexterity. Equip it right away, I'd say! But you're not finished yet. The next forge is the Green Bracelet. You need: Emerald Fire Shield(Beat the Dead Knight in the Cemetary now, use the map. Also take a spare one as Armor),a Green Emerald, a War Hammer(beat a Druid), Green Dust and Hydra Flank(not from Hydra, but bought in Food Shop). The Bracelet adds 20 Str, 20 Dex, 20 Wis and 20 Chr. That's another nice boost. The last forge you'll make for some time is the Green Trunk. This is a valueble item, as it's one of the few that doesn't go away when you die and that makes it useful. It adds +5 slots at Trader Jacks, so you can hold more there. For Green Trunk you need: Green Scale Neckband(beat another Hydra), Green Emerald, Throwing Daggers(buy them again), Green Dust and a Pegasuse Wing(beat up another Pegasuse Scout). Now you're all set. No more mister nice guy! Let the creatures Cry and Die. Time for action. With all these new things, you can fight and 1rd stronger creatures. The best spot is the ogre cave for this. They give really good experience for now, not to mention the good gold drops. Don't fight in the Dark Forest though, as you AREN'T allowed to kill any more ELFS from now on, unless you die and need the forges. You'll hear why later. For now, concentrate on the Ogre Cave and keep killing them. Bank your gold every once in a while.
Mages should do the same thing as fighters, and even forge the JEW, because it's much and much better than the Mana weapons you can get. The Eagle Talisman will boost your JEW, since the JEW is not a Mana weapon. The Green Bracelet gives overall decent stats, and the Trunk is always useful. With the JEW< you can focus on killing better things. This is also a good moment to switch to a mage, if you wanted to be one, but played as a warrior (so that you came here alot faster).
